The New Mexico Society of Hazardous Materials Managers (NMSHMM) was formed in 1998 as the marriage of two parent organizations, the former New Mexico Hazardous Waste Management Society (NMHWMS) and the Roadrunner Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP - formerly the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers).
Friday, May 19 - Annual NMSHMM
Field Trip to Ethicon Endo-Surgery facility
in ABQ near Rio Bravo/Sunport Blvd & I-25.
The tour will begin at 9am and last approximately 2-hours. Ethicon Endo-Surgery (EES), a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Inc. (J&J), designs, manufactures, and distributes medical devices and surgical instruments with the intent of minimizing the invasiveness of surgery. The different production categories within EES include breast care products, surgical stapling products, energy-based products, and endoscopic surgery products. In addition to manufacturing surgical equipment, EES provides training for surgeons. EES operates a sterilization and packaging operation located in Albuquerque, New Mexico (NM).
This field trip is free of charge and open to the first 20 NMSHMM members and guests. To register, please send an email to no later than Friday, May 12th.
